Know the Fabric- Tissue

Tissue can be called Kerala's own fabric. The usage of Golden Tissue and Copper Tissue in Kerala dates back to ages. Tissue is thin, translucent, lightweight and shimmery, produced using the Jacquard Weaving Technique. Now, the production has modernized and Tissue is also produced in Power Looms.

Handloom Tissue fabric is expensive and difficult to maintain. It has a tendency to shrink with every washes. However, Powerloom Tissue which is what we provide does not shrink and can be handwashed in normal temperature water without any shrinkages. Customers need not worry since our Tissue Kurtas have 1.5 inches of seam allowance on each side so that kurtas can be loosened up in the future if needed.

Our Tissue Kurtas are lined with Pure Cotton Lining for added comfort. The metallic finish of Tissue has an elegant beauty and glow with a matte finish glow and suits all complexions.

How to Care Tissue?

Although dry clean is recommended with every fabric, Tissue can also be hand washed in normal temperature water with mild detergents. Avoid usage of colour guards and bleaches. Dry inside out in shade and iron with low heat setting. Soak and scrub with care to preserve the detailing and embroideries done on the fabric.

Handcraft Disclaimer

Please note that many of our products, especially Cottons and other natural fibres are dyed using natural dyes, which may bleed during the initial few washes or rub against the skin and other light-coloured garments.

Additionally, slight variations in hand block-printing, embroidery work, and stitching may occur, which are the unique characteristics of handmade products and give each style its individual identity.

Our hand embroidery are crafted in such a way that even if one embroidery bead falls off due to rough handling, the other beads connected to it will not loosen up or fall off.

Please keep in mind that our products are professionally photographed under controlled lighting conditions, which can affect the perception of colours. Variations in colours may occur depending on factors such as shot angles, lighting, background tones, and colour temperatures. However, we always strive to match the tones as closely as possible to the original product colours.

Feel free to let us know if you find a jarring contrast between the pictures and the product you receive.
